Host, Graveyard Shift
iCRV Radio

Taphophile and lover of the past, Karen enjoys wandering through the resting places of those who walked the CRV before us....

The call of the graveyard has echoed in my ears for as long as I can remember. Whether it was the three year old, dressed in Easter finery, kneeling in front of the beautiful marble headstone where her mother lay, or the inquisitive ten year old girl exploring a long forgotten graveyard in the Autumnal dusk, apprehensively attempting to open the ancient rusted door to it’s crypt.
Now, a grown woman,  I feel most at home whilst meandering through some forgotten resting place. The graveyard beckons and I must heed it’s call.

Just as Robert Frost penned,
…The living come with grassy tread
To read the gravestones on the hill
The graveyard draws the living still,
But never anymore the dead.

When I’m not strolling through some overgrown or meticulously manicured cemetery, I find moments of bliss with my fur babies, Kooshka and Kitten.

I also pay homage at the alter of the retail gods.
