What to Bring: camera, swim suit (for swimming or hot tub!) and walking shoes …relax, explore and have fun in this coastal town just a bridge away from Maine! ..or, if you’re inclined, you can drive to the White Mountains National Park in New Hampshire from here!

can rent Kayaks and paddle board in nearby Rye, NH: afternoon Whale Watching (4-5 hours) from late May to Oct 11 @1:30pm  For a morning person, go Deep Sea Fishing (half day or whole) aboard Atlantic Queen; kids get
aboard for FREE Piscataqua River Tours with Captain Neil Adams (IS Coast Guard 100 ton master; stories to tell)

• Wentworth By The Sea in New Castle, NH; once called “HOTEL WENTWORTH” and “THE WENTWORTH” it grew from an 82-room resort in the 1870’s into a 300-room resort with a 3rd floor ballroom and steam powered elevators and renamed “WENTWORTH BY THE SEA” in 1919 … in 1946 Cab Calloway and Duke Ellington were regular performers, films were played there and it a top luxury destination on the Atlantic … in 1980 its owners retired and portions were sold off, however the “Friends of Wentworth” preserved the hotel as a fully functioning landmark, and, now owned by Ocean Propertes, it has 161 guest rooms, a marina, 3 pools, tennis courts, 2 restaurants, spa and gardens
